Rotaract Club of Yerevan salutes the initiative of “Caucasus House in Poland” for creation of the common information space and an atmosphere of mutual understanding and promoting peace in the region of Southern Caucasus. The noble idea of creation of Common Caucasus House is consonant with the idea of the strongest youth movement of the world – Rotaract International. Rotaract Club of Yerevan expresses its willingness to cooperate within the frames of the project “For the cooperation of young leaders of local organizations of the South Caucasus” launched by the organization “Caucasus House in Poland” with the Rotaract Clubs of the countries involved in the project.

Dr.Stepan Grigoryan, Director of Analytic Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation The idea of creation of “Caucasian House” on a “neutral” territory is very original. The point is that Poland enjoys confidence and authority in all the three countries of the South Caucasus. In our societies there is a great sympathy to Poles as to people with similar mentality. That is why, the creation of “Caucasian House” in Poland is a wonderful idea, which has every prospect of success. I heartily salute the initiative of Hijran Aliyeva and I am ready to pitch in the realization of this initiative. |

Rasim Musabekov, Political Scientist (Baku) I have very nice impressions and remembrance of my last meeting with Hijran Aliyeva. I welcome the initiative of the “Common House of Caucasus in Poland”. We indeed have to work much to get the European and Polish general public informed on the South Caucasus and the regional problems. As far as I know the similar initiative was undertaken in the 20-30’s of the last century, but then Armenian representatives fell out of it. It will be great if the dissention such traditional for our region is overcome this time. I wish you success Shahin Rzayev (Baku), Country Director, Institute for War and Peace Reporting I have looked through the website of the “Common House of Caucasus in Poland” with great interest. It is well-wrought and tastes of a big potential. It is hard for me now to appraise your activities and advise you for the future. Time will show. I wish you all the best! |

Director of Research Center ,,Region,, and NGO ,,Investigative Journalists,, (Armenia) Ongoing processes of the last ten years show how far the South Caucasian countries have gone, each with its own way, getting more distant from each other in the sphere of policy, communication, economy and even mental sphere. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia feel the Caucasian identity on a level of nostalgia for home and usual interpersonal relations, only outside the Caucasus. There, beyond the bounds of Caucasus, they all are “our people - Caucasians”, but here, beyond the Caucasian Range, they all are divided into “our people and not our people” at best, and “our people and enemies” at worst. |

Political-scientist The creation of a Caucasian House is a great idea, however, it is not new. It is well known, that this idea emerged at the beginning of the past century and since then two attempts were made to create the Caucasian House. Unfortunately, both of them failed. We can talk a lot about the reasons why these attempts were turned to be unsuccessful; it is a quite broad subject and needs a separate discussion. |

Chairman of the Center of Legal and Political Studies “Concord” The only way to achive stability in the South Caucasus is to turn this region into one, unified geopolitical unit. The leadership of each state of the region will have to understand that our common interests are more important than our differences. The security of one country cannot be built on insecurity of its neighbor. Only through creation of the same international security system we can build stability, and successfully develop the region. I think there is no alternative to this. |

Chairman, CIPDD I held a meeting with Ms Hijran Alieva about her plans regarding establishment and function of the organization called “Caucasian House” in Poland. The idea itself struck me as rather sensible as different diasporas of Caucasian peoples may find it easier to develop better understanding and cooperation than their home nations do, because they are relatively free of some psychological and political pressures that are typical for countries of the region. |

Political scientist and expert I think that there is no common policy in the South Caucasus. Various trends eliminate the possibility of cooperation between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia and, also, the establishment of common policy of the region. Regarding this, the implementation of this kind of project would be very essential. The project would support information accessibility of population about current problems, confidence building and relief of tension. Perhaps the Government would express its interest and would cooperate with similar projects from the perspective of its interests. |

Chairman of Georgian-Armenian Union “Nor Serund” In general, when it comes to create something, is could be already considered as a positive start, but when a common house of friendship for Caucasian peoples is being created it is naturally a great success. From ancient times Georgia has been proud of being a multiethnic country, where on the one and the same street representatives of different nations could live side by side and it is noteworthy that this tradition is still maintained. The open conversation and sharing ideas with Mrs. Hijran Alieva and Armenak Hovhannisyan made me think about necessity of implementation of the conceived project and its goals. During the meeting a range of issues have been discussed, ways of the future cooperation, since there are many questions which are common for our counties, therefore, they need to be solved with help of a similar mechanism. This is why, I consider that is so important to involve Georgia in this process. Joint projects, youth meetings and sharing of experience is very fruitful. I am glad to have an opportunity to directly contact with the people actually involved in the process of implementation of such an interesting project. It is also important to have common internet space, where experiences of our countries could be shared. Once again, I would like to express my readiness to strengthen our mutual partnership.
“Nor Serund” - the association of countrymen. The main objectives of the association: protection of human rights, conflictology, healthcare and relations with press. The mentioned organization appears a member of the association of countrymen. |

Expert on cultural and education issues People of Caucasus need solidarity as never before and the project “The Common House of Caucasus” is a noble idea. Aspiration towards Europe of course does not mean the rejection of your own identity. Caucasus returns to Europe, Caucasus returns to its own history. It is high time for united Caucasus to transfer from conflict region to a hearth of tolerance and freedom of opinion and no doubt that “The Common House of Caucasus” will play positive role in this process. |
